About

Jason Frank

I am a political theorist at Cornell University, where I am the Robert J. Katz Chair of the Department of Government.  I write about democratic theory, the history of popular sovereignty, American political thought, modern and contemporary political theory, populism, and political aesthetics.  I also teach in these areas.  This webpage offers links to recent publications and talks, syllabi, as well as updates on my current research.  The links will direct you to some other things in which I am interested or involved. A more detailed description of my research and publications can be found here. I am currently a co-director of the International Conference for the Study of Political Thought and a member of the editorial board of the American Political Science Review. My new book The Democratic Sublime: On Aesthetics and Popular Assembly has just been published by Oxford University Press.
